You know…I’m starting to think that MacRumors WANTS us to buy a new MacBook Pro via these affiliate links, even though they said we should wait to buy a MBP a couple of weeks ago!

I…I no longer know my place in the universe. Everything is topsy turvy!

Seriously, though. I wish I was in the market for one. Thankfully my little M4 Mac Mini serves me well.

Apple is currently offering $705 for base Macbook Air M4 16gb 256gb 13 inch. I bought mine for $800 from Microcenter almost 1 year ago so trading into apple was a no brainer. I don't see how they can compete with that deal.

I got mine a week and a day ago but went custom from Apple, these things are sick. I know I'm at risk of a better MBP coming out this year but it's probably going to be more expensive than these models and the M2 was really cramping with current workloads.

Does the 14" overheat?
I didn't know that.

Even the base ones, or just the Pro & certainly Max chip equipped ones?
Its not so much over heats as much as gets throttled, if they burst a lot they have a hard time getting rid of the heat as quickly b/c IIRC the 14" only has one fan while the 16" has two.
