Maybe I'll give it a try. It's better than paying for cable and still needing to watch ads
The issue is that people are paying for Prime and Amazon is including content on Freevee with ads but not also making it available to subscribers ad free. Yup, first world problem, and nobody is forcing anyone to watch the content with the ads, but since it is an Amazon service and people are paying for their subscription, it seems wrong not to allow those paying to watch ad free. The name is stupid but christ the amount of people complaining about a free service that no one is being forced to watch is insane, this place has turned into a forum for nothing but loud mouthed babies
This made me so mad when I was about to watch Bosch Legacy on amazon prime, I was forced to watch FreeVee crap through prime app... I think them and Netflix are working overtime to make sure people drop them as a service.Ads, hard pass, and shameful that Amazon is trying to get additional ad revenue from users that are already paying the "premium" Prime Services. The content should be there as well.
We pay and yet forced to watch ads, very upsetting.I just can't watch ads anymore, free or not. I'd rather pay for content.
they force it on paying customers as they are non paying...The name is stupid but christ the amount of people complaining about a free service that no one is being forced to watch is insane, this place has turned into a forum for nothing but loud mouthed babies
How is it forced, you are forced to watch? it is free for everyonethey force it on paying customers as they are non paying...
You mean like all other social media?this place has turned into a forum for nothing but loud mouthed babies
One app can do it. Settings that give access and ads based on subscription or lack there-of or what level of subscription. Content that is available to see based on that access. It's really not that difficult. Amazon went the lazy way. They do. One ad-free for those paying for Prime, and one ad-supported for those who aren’t. Doesn’t take a mental gymnast to figure it out.
People and their first world issues really make want to puke in my soup.
Pretty much yesYou mean like all other social media?
They could, but have you seen the Prime Video app recently? There is very little delineation between Prime, for purchase, and FreeVee. Had they revamped the app, I would agree. They didn’t and chose to break it out into its own service. Start your own company and you can do it your way.One app can do it. Enjoy your soup. Or not.
I think to de-couple the service from the IMDB brand, so they can spin it off or sell the service to another company if they wish.So we go from a widely recognized IMDb TV to Freevee, why?
The reason people complain about Freevee and ads is likely because they’re paying for Amazon Prime, and it’s weird for Amazon to split its new content across two streaming services, one of which requires a subscription and one of which is free with ads (to the general public and to subscribers to the first service). Just maintaining two separate services shows a bit of a lack of focus on Amazon’s part, since the two both receive original content (how do they differentiate the two, how do they decide what goes where to prevent Freevee from cannibalizing Amazon Prime Video but simultaneously get people invested in watching Freevee to justify their investment in it). Additionally, it seems like Amazon doesn’t do a good enough job of differentiating content on one from the other. The other night, we, somehow ended up watching a move on an ad supported channel. It was AWFUL!
Choppy and distracting. Never again!
Life is difficult that way. I think King was talking about this exact idea when he gave his famous “I Have A Dream” speech. I distinctly remember the part about throwing off the chains of oppressive, ad-supported streaming services. Very moving. The other night, we, somehow ended up watching a move on an ad supported channel. It was AWFUL!

They are not sanitized versions of the movies. There is language and nudity allowed.Does anyone know if the movies are ”edited for television “, or are these full featured but with ad breaks?
