Amazon has introduced a big discount on the Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle, now available for $449.99 when you add the product to your cart, down from $499.00. As the name implies, this bundle allows you to choose from three games, all of which retail between $69.99 and $79.99, making this deal even better.

Games available to choose from in this bundle include Donkey Kong Bananza, Mario Kart World, and Pokémon Pokopia. You'll pick one of these games as a digital game download on your new Switch 2 system.

Note: You won't see the deal price until checkout.

Considering the impending price hike coming to the Switch 2 in the fall, Amazon's deal today could be the last big markdown on the console before that price increase happens. Nintendo has announced that the Switch 2 console with no game will increase from $450 to $500, so we can expect the console game bundles to increase at that point as well.

Took my daughters to see Toy Story 5 (excellent movie, btw) and didn't realize they redid Star Fox on Switch2. Definitely gonna grab that one and my girls will learn the ways of the barrel roll.

I applaud Nintendo for not AppleTV'ing their console price more than necessary.

Digital download only? No.
Congrats. You're one of the 3% of people who play video games and are concerned their copy of Starfox won't be around in 20 years.

Modern games cost way too much to make, and now you want to increase the costs by demanding physical packages and discs even though most people couldn't give a rip. Of course, I am sure everyone wants the physical media without the price increase, but so many people do not understand how physical inventory works and the enormous costs of plastic sitting on shelves for months and years, when most people just press "download."

PC people adjusted a long time ago. Hard to believe console players would be the dead enders, but here we are.

I ordered this bundle from amazon for family and it ended up being the older Mario kart world bundle. So buyer be ware.

Switch 2 wasn't a super compelling upgrade for Switch 1. I don't think it's selling as well as they'd like.

It wasn't? I guess you haven't used both.

- Bigger screen at 120hz vs smaller 60hz
- Switch 2 capable of 4K docked, original switch 1080 docked
- Pretty sizable upgrade to the joy-cons. The original felt cheap, the 2's are a lot more sturdy and feel preium
- Performance is very noticeable over the original switch. Titles that struggled to maintain 60 fps are buttery smooth on the 2.
- Next gen exclusives like Star Fox 2 & Donkey Kong World, and Mario Kart World. This list will doubt expand.

The shorter battery life is a con.

You do realize it’s the second fastest selling console in the US gaming history and the fastest selling console of all time right?
Yeah. My guess is that they spent good 18-24 months producing a whole mess of consoles before they even announced the thing. They sold through initial inventory pretty fast but it's been relatively easy to find since shortly after.

That it is easy to find is a credit to Nintendo's supply chain planning, not evidence that it’s not selling. As others have stated above, it has sold extremely well.

With respect to it not being a super compelling upgrade, I beg to differ on that point as well. Let's set aside the gimmicky camera and mouse controls because, in my opinion, they'll never stick. Apart from that, the backward compatibility, an excellent library from Day 1, a larger 120 Hz display, and better overall hardware quality have made it a terrific upgrade for me. While the exclusive Switch 2 library still needs work, the upgrades to games like Breath of the Wild are huge quality of life improvements that make a 9-year-old game feel fresh.

With prices on the other platforms rising sharply in recent months, if Nintendo can avoid going beyond $499 later this year, I think they’ll do very well during the 2026 holiday season.

A new Mario game is rumored to come out next year and the Zelda remake looks great.

I guess the same level of association that non-Apple news have on this website, but at least I can connect a Samsung monitor and a Logitech mouse to my Mac mini. A Nintendo Switch 2, not so much.
I feel like maybe most Mac users that are gamers have to use a console and Nintendo is the most apple like console and gaming company. Honestly a merge between them would make sense.

From the outside I totally get this but hold it in your hand and you understand. I love it personally.
