Anyone who has an iPad mini 6 already has an awesome tablet. This upgrade isn’t worth it for those people unless you absolutely need the pro pencil or Apple Intelligence.

It will be good if the next update brings bigger changes. OLED, landscape camera etc maybe even a charging dock to convert it into a smart hub for your home etc
The processor and WiFi 6e etc is a good upgrade for people who use the thing a ton, but honestly my battery isn’t in the best shape on my launch mini 6. I feel like I have to charge it every single day/use and on devices I use all the time I want the newest version especially after 3 years lol

wow I just got one for 360 after a few gift cards and the coupon I have been sitting on.. we have an iPad 10.9 that we use as a baby monitor to view the nest cam.. I've been wanting to pick an additional iPad and this new mini will be perfect. Feel like I got a really solid deal.

Battery replacement is a fraction of the cost of buying an entire new iPad. That might be the better value proposition?

I’m certainly considering getting my battery replaced when it no longer performs. But my early 2022 iPad mini 6 is still running as long as the day I bought it.

This should be a $349 device anyway.
The iPad was initially released as a lower end entry level device. But in recent years it’s effectively become a mini iPad Air.

I’m not sure what their costs are for the iPad mini but I’m sure they are making a decent margin on it.

Agreed. The product just hasn't evolved much and as Luke Miani said, they had three years to improve the iPad Mini and this was all they could muster? Folks are free to disagree but at its launch price, that is laughable to me and borderline insulting.

Yeah, three years and it’s just a component swap. If it had an oled panel and landscape camera it would be a worthwhile update. By being left with a portrait camera, it’s left behind by even the regular iPad. Which also has a keyboard accessory.

Only time will tell how worthwhile its AI capabilities will be. But for most, I doubt it would be a huge deal.

The next update is a good two to three years away.

If you have the iPad Mini 6 with 256 gb, you should skip this update.

If you have the base iPad Mini 6 with 64 gb, this is a great update because you get double the ram and storage. My wife’s mini 6 was the base model, it’s a pain doing updates for it because of the lack of space, need to constantly delete things.

Ordered the 256Gb Mini. Good deal so soon after launch. Have the 256 GB Mini 5 now, so this deal got me to pull the trigger.

The 128GB Purple and Starlight are back with the $89.01 discount. I picked up a Starlight Mini to go along with my Starlight M2 Air. That's a solid deal for a just released iPad at $100 off. Hopefully it won't be too small for my aging eyes.
