That’s almost worth buying. It’s regularly $1000 so close to $800 is a deal. The reviews are not wonderful about the monitor, but at this price more people would be willing to overlook the issues with build quality, coil whine, sometimes light bleeding, etc.

That's almost half-off... I wonder if Samsung is planning to release a new model, or if someone just really wants to get rid of inventory for some other reason? 🤔

It's received a lot of poor reviews. Flimsy plastic + wobbly stand, connectivity issues and dropouts - moreso with macOS, below par speakers; it's not even in the same league as the Apple Studio Display.

At this price point though, it might review a lot better.

That depends. If you're looking for cheapness — sure. If you're looking for a decent monitor — don't expect anything to change with a discount.

I definitely like the thin bezel, but not the camera. Also, the price cut is very generous.

Even with the thicker bezel and high price, I am still very happy with my Studio Displays and have no reason to consider anything else.

The display itself is quite excellent, it's the rest of the package that lets it down. Apple sweats the small details that leads to industry-leading products. Samsung copies a few headline features, and then cheaps out on everything else that takes a product from usable to a joyful experience.

As someone who tried the M8, I'll remain skeptical. Unless you tell me that there is a world of difference between the two.

I would love to be able to switch off some off the Features on my 32inch M8 -
it is a pity, that it does not have a 'hidden' Menu to access it.

I played around with it for about a week and just couldn't do it to myself. I couldn't get it anywhere near what I could consider calibrated. I'm sure it's fine if you're not doing anything visual for work, but I had to send it back. I'm looking at a BenQ right now.

The M8 was an average 4k monitor and TV combined with an even more average VA LCD panel. The display in the Samsung mentioned here is an IPS panel at 5k which is a very big upgrade from the thing you had before. That said, the build quality is not much of an improvement.

Yes, it drove me crazy — the monitor wouldn't sit still when I was typing. It was a s-t show.

Yeah that shouldn't be an issue at the M8 price point let alone the RRP of the S9 here. I was shocked when I saw some of the reviews highlighting creaking plastic and the display dancing about on the desk as the reviewer typed.

I am considering the Benq 32" but I am still hopeful Apple will have a 32" ASD or maybe the XDR 1.0 at half price once a 2.0 version is announced. I know, it's wishful thinking. lol

Yea, I was quite surprised. I tried very hard to like it, but just couldn't.

Same same. I have my eye on the BenQ PD3225U 32", but the MA320U 32" was just brought to my attention. It looks like it may not be as good, but it's almost half the price of the PD. I had waited for years for  to come out with a mid range monitor and they gave us the Studio Display...
