iPhone Amazon links no longer opening in amazon app

Did a search and didn’t see it anywhere- since updating to an iPhone 11 Pro Max and iOS 13, it seems amazon links open in safari and not in the amazon app. I also no longer see “open in amazon” while in safari. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app and still no go. My Home Depot app works the way it should.

One thing to try...Google something like "amazon ipnone 11 case". You should see some sponsored links at the top but scroll down a little until you see normal links, that link to Amazon. Long press on one of those, until you see the pop up menu. From that, select "open in Amazon". That should, open it in the amazon app. Close the app, close safari. Open safari, do the same kind of search, but this time, just tap a link like normal. Does it now open in the app, or still safari?

Good idea. amazon doesn’t appear in the pop up menu. eBay and target do when I try those links, but not amazon.

Im guessing the amazon app needs an update. it does work on my iPad with iPad OS.

does anyone with an 11 have the amazon app- and if so, does it work for them?

edit- I’m seeing a ton of app reviews of people pissed with their last update.
