I don't have Silverlight app or the plug in (located in Preferences>Security>Plug-in Settings) on my Safari.

Amazon and Netflix used to work for me on Safari despite not having the plugin.

Neither service is working for me now. Upon selecting a video to watch, both display a message that I need to download Silverlight.

Is anyone having success?

I am on Safari 9.0.1 on El Capitan 10.11.1 without Silverlight and plugins completely disabled, and I just went to netflix.com and it works just fine. Do you maybe have some extensions installed that are causing this?

I am having trouble with it as well. Both Safari and firefox won't run Silverlight since 10.11.1, but Chrome still works. I do have silverlight allowed on both browsers and even tried to re-install it, but no luck.
