Amazon has dropped the prices on the Rev C powerbooks as follows:

12" 1.33 GHz (w/o superdrive): $1299 - $100 Rebate = $1199
12" 1.33 GHz (w/ superdrive): $1499 - $150 Rebate = $1349
15" 1.33 GHz (w/o superdrive): $1699 - $150 Rebate = $1549
15" 1.50 GHz (w/ superdrive): $2099 - $150 Rebate = $1949
17" 1.50 GHz (w/ superdrive): $2299 - $150 Rebate = $2199

Now the question is are these still worth it given the updates on the new current models?

The 12" Superdrive is the only one not worth it to me or anyone else eligible for the EDU Discount. I can get the new 12" Superdrive for $1499. The rest are basically at $150 discount. The 12" Combo is really a bargain if you don't mind not having the small speedbump, bluetooth 2.0, scroll pad. You save even more if you're not eligible for the EDU Discount. I'd buy the 12" PB from Amazon for 1099 before I bought the 12" iBook right now. It's a no-brainer.

The 17" is an awesome deal considering it's $650 off of the original MSRP. I've ordered a couple of PowerBooks in the past from Amazon and the service has always been great and the item comes double or tripled boxed and in perfect condition. They also have a 30 day return policy too which most retailers won't do on notebooks.

I have been considering getting a 12" ibook. This deal looks pretty good now, however. A PB For $125 (after rebate) more than an ibook with a slower processor, slower bus, slower memory...

Is this $125 diff worth it?

Also, would one of these Rev C's come with iLife 05, or be eligible for the $20 upgrade?
