Update July 12: Amazon has discounted the Apple TV even further for Prime members, dropping the 32GB model to $109.00 and the 64GB model to $129.00, savings of $70 off the regular retail price. Original article is below.

Joining the early influx of deals on Apple products during Amazon Prime Day is now the Apple TV 4K, which has hit the best-ever price of $119.99, down from $179.00. This is the 32GB 2021 model with the new Siri Remote.

Compared to previous sales, this is about $30 cheaper and overall it's the lowest price we've ever tracked on the 2021 Apple TV 4K. As with all Prime Day deals, this one won't last long, so be sure to head to Amazon soon if you're interested.

Additionally, the 64GB Apple TV 4K is on sale for $139.99, down from $199.00, which is another best-ever price. Both models are currently in stock, but that might not last long.

Remember that you'll need an Amazon Prime membership to get Prime Day deals. You can sign up for Prime if you don't have it yet on Amazon.

Does is support HBO Max nos?.
Are the Apps (Netflix, HBO Max, Prime, YouTube, etc. “faster” than the natives on the TV?.

Yes, all those apps are supported. When you say faster, you mean opening the apps? I have no issue getting into the app quickly via the ATV 4K. But I guess it all depends on how fast the apps on your TV are.

I recommend the new 4K models every time these deals are posted. Much much better experience than I was having with the HD models I replaced.

Just a reminder: If you use AppleTV apps that require the motion controller (e.g., Just Dance, Tennis, etc.), the new remote does NOT support motion control.

Just ordered one. When a new one comes out, I'll give the old one to the kid. ;) But, I have to say my existing ones have been pretty flaky lately using several different apps. I'm tempted to do a total reset on them, re-boots don't fix the hung apps.

Should I get 32gb or 64gb? I mostly stream and don't play Apple Arcade games.
Unless you game, 32 GB is more than adequate.

Sadly, the 64 GB Apple TV isn’t big enough for the people that do play games. It doesn’t take that many games just start seeing out of storage messages.

Prime Day aka Amazon Yard Sale Day.
I've had Amazon Prime for many years now. Prime Day has always been a crapshoot. Like one of them made up, corporate holidays. I checked it out the first couple of years, but it wasn't even worth wasting the clicks going through them. Will cancel Amazon Prime next month as it'd be nice to take a break from it.

EDIT: I'll add a TL;DR, if you don't play games on there, then it seems 32 GB should be enough.

I have the 32 GB for a the same use scenario. Haven’t once felt I should have bought a larger capacity one.

Interesting points. I'd say factors for getting a larger capacity include...
--How many games you'll have
--How much you'll be playing
--what sorts of games you'll want to play
Games vary from 300MB, to 3.7 GB apiece
--If you're OK with deleting stuff
I'm told you can do some setting, or iOS will ask if you'd like to archive the save data. However, I've heard one account where his save data got wiped anyways :(

Factors for going only 32 GB...
--IIRC, there aren't that many games on ATV?
That would mean you wouldn't be able to fill that up anyways? (at least with AA games)
--You won't spend that much time on AA anyways

Me.. I have a 64 GB iPad. Slightly regret not getting the 256 GB model, but even with a free trial of AA as a wrench in the works, I'm still managing. Do have to be more careful about what I install, and utilizing clearing some stuff out for more space.

I have the original AppleTV 4K and it works fine for me and supposedly Apple is working on a new model with the A14, but $60 off is a solid deal and I could use a second ATV.

Tempted, but I have a number of Rokus and Fire TVs and continue to use my SD Apple TV on a secondary, older television. With the rumors of a new one, I’m going to hold out for now and see what Apple comes up with next.

Not too worried about the rumored new one as it sounds like Apple, if they release it, are going to aim it for Apple Arcade games with the A14 and 4GB of system RAM and that is not something that interests me (especially if it has a $199 price).

I have the 4K Apple TV (last gen), earlier this year I finally got an LG OLED TV. Would getting this new Apple TV do anything great for me or should I wait for the next version? I did get the new Apple TV remote when those were released separately.
