Amazon will kick off Prime Day 2020 tonight at midnight, and the event will introduce hundreds of deals through Wednesday, October 14. To add on top of the two day event, Amazon has even begun introducing early offers on AirPods, iPads, Kindles, Echo devices, Ring products, and more.

We'll be watching Prime Day deals throughout the event this week, so be sure to keep track of our upcoming Prime Day posts. Of course, many retailers are introducing their own opposing mega sales to compete with Prime Day, so there will also be even more opportunities for discounts at Target, Best Buy, and more.

AirPods Pro

Today you can get the AirPods Pro on the Amazon-owned Woot marketplace for $189.99, down from $249.00. Unlike some of Woot's products, these AirPods Pro are brand new, and they come with a one year Apple warranty.

Amazon itself is discounting the AirPods Pro to $199.00 this week. Woot's sale expires today, but Amazon's should hold out for a bit longer, although stock will likely dwindle.

AirPods With Wired Charging Case

A notable low price has hit another model of the AirPods, this one for the AirPods with Wired Charging Case. You can get it for $124.99, down from $159.00, after an extra $4.01 discount is applied at the checkout screen. This is an Amazon all-time-low price.

2020 MacBook Air

The newest MacBook Air is seeing an all-time-low price on Amazon this week. The 256GB model is priced at $849.99, down from $999.00, thanks to a coupon that will automatically apply an extra $100 discount at the checkout screen.

Likewise, the 512GB model is on sale for $1,149.99, down from $1,299.00, after an extra $50 discount is applied at the checkout screen. Both of these prices are new lows for each MacBook Air, and available in all three colors.

13-Inch MacBook Pro

There's one model of the latest 13-inch MacBook Pro on sale so far this week, and it's the notebook with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD. This one is priced at $1,799.99, down from $1,999.00, after an extra $49.01 discount is applied at checkout. That's a match of the previous low price we've tracked on this 13-inch MacBook Pro.

16-Inch MacBook Pro

Solid 16-inch MacBook Pro deals have extended into Prime Day as well, with the 512GB 16-Inch MacBook Pro discounted to $2,099.00, down from $2,399.00. This is being matched at B&H Photo.

It’s a good deal for AirPods Pro but haven’t the rumors been that there will be an AirPods promotion with the new iPhone 12? If true, the promotion could be even better than the Amazon deal (assuming you’re also getting an iPhone 12).

That AirPods price is the lowest it’s ever been. Great deal. Don’t hesitate to pull the trigger on them if you’ve been waiting. They’re well worth the price for BT that works reliably and is always with you.

I was waiting for this price and when I saw it last night I indeed pulled the trigger. Couple that with the fact I rec’d $100 visa gift card from work which I put towards this purchase...no-brainer for me.

Amazon return policy is good. You could get them and see if Apples is better. If so just return the Amazon ones

Just a reminder, but Prime Day is simply Amazon's take on trying to fancy up a garage sale. The only point of it is to clear out stale inventory to free up space for holiday inventory. Sure, there will be some deals to be had, but most is just useless junk nobody needed or needs.

Not only that, but the value is even better with the new firmware update that enabled Spatial Audio.

That is what I did. Now they will have Airpod Pro 2's announced tomorrow, lol.

One takeaway seems to be the 32gb iPad is not likely to go below 299 anytime soon. Which tells me apple raised the wholesale cost without raising the MSRP.

Any deals on the AW6 or the AW-SE?

Here’s what I would do:

Being so close to ‘Black Friday’, A lot of retailers will be expanding Sales over the course of a month versus a ‘day’ or week given Black Friday is basically formatted differently this year because of the pandemic, I suspect the SE Won’t have hardly any discounts, it’s already priced extremely low at $279. The Series 6 Will likely be the model that you will find the most discounts.

Also, if the Series 5 would interests you, I imagine that will also be heavily slashed to liquidate any remaining stock, which is still a strong watch, still includes AOD as does the S6.

How is Amazon's return/exchange policy on defective Apple products? I ask because in my experience, Apple will not stand behind defects if the product is purchased from an authorized dealer, like At&t. I received an ipad6 as a bday gift. Out of the box there was a deep scratch in the middle of the screen. Apple said they would have replaced it only [the gift-giver] made the mistake of purchasing it from At&t. At&t refused to replace it with a new iPad; after much priming, they did offer to send it in for a 30-day "repair." Of course they knew I wouldn't accept that. Apple Rep said this happens often & suggested never to buy an Apple product outside Apple's own retail. Anyone with a similar experience?

No. That Apple rep misinformed you. The manufacturer's warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for one year. By law, Apple must stand behind that regardless of where you purchased it.

Hard to argue with Apple that a scratch is a defect. They have no way of knowing when it happened. They goodwill a lot of things, that rep was probably right.

Unlike other businesses that periodically and altruistically want to save us some money? 😁
“Prime Day” adds almost no value other than creating fake hype around crap and services you can get all year, sometimes for even better prices.
