Update: While Amazon was selling the Apple TV 4K models at record-low prices of $104.49 for the 32GB model and $123.49 for the 64GB model earlier today, prices have increased slightly to $109.99 and $128.99 respectively. These are still terrific prices, however, so this remains an excellent opportunity to pick up one of Apple's streaming boxes.

Our original article remains as initially published below.

Amazon's fall Prime Early Access Sale has kicked off, and with it comes the best deal on the Apple TV 4K that we've ever seen. You can get the 32GB model for $104.49, down from $179.00.

You will need an active Amazon Prime subscription to see this deal, and many others during Prime Early Access. You can get one month of Amazon Prime for free when signing up this week, and afterwards the service will renew at $14.99 per month or $139 per year.

This is the best price we've ever tracked on the 2021 Apple TV 4K. This is the model that comes with the A12 Bionic chip and the new Siri Remote. The 64GB model is also available at an all-time low price at $123.49, down from $199.00.

We will continue to track Prime Early Access deals as the event continues, so be sure to keep an eye on our front page for more news and on our main Prime Early Access article for more Apple deals. Remember that you can sign up for Amazon Prime for free for one month to take advantage of the deals.

I normally ignores these "sales" but I did just pick up a pair of AirPods Pro2 for $223.24, which is 10% below list.

Best Buy has pricing that is close to this thru the 13th, they do price matching, and even better, their open box units are cheaper. $93 for a 32 gig model open box. Plus you don't have to pay for prime. BB isn't as attractive an option now that they downgraded the rewards program, but you can still earn some rewards on top of the open box pricing discount.

At this price I snagged one without hesitation…won’t be upset if a new model comes out since my other streaming devices are getting slow and glitchy. Ok, maybe a little upset if the new version is $100 or less, but this is Apple we’re talking about.

I replaced my old 4K with the 2021 model when it was $119 on Amazon (my old model went to my bedroom to replace the built-in TV apps).

Unless I used Apple Arcade, where the added performance of the A14 Bionic over the A12 Bionic would make the most difference, I'd personally take this deal if I needed a new (or first) AppleTV.

Kuo says the new AppleTV will be cheaper to manufacture, but does that really mean Apple will lower the MSRP? And if they do, at best I think it would drop from the current $179 to the $149 of the Apple TV HD (which would probably be discontinued). And I would not at all put it past Apple to give the current AppleTV 4K a price drop to $149 (and replace the HD model) and launch this new model as the "Apple 4K TV Pro" at the same $179.

Has anyone ever seen any measurable performance difference between 32 and 64GB?

We have two Apple TV HDs, two AppleTV 4Ks, and a 4k TV without one (used as an airplay receiver). I grabbed two of these to replace my HDs and decided to wait for a newer one for the last TV. $104 is less than I paid for open box in the past. I figure if the new one has a specific new function that works better with thread or whatever then I'll buy it, otherwise I'll keep using the TV as is.

Back on topic though the remote is the best reason to wait. Ideally there will be a remote with find my.

I was looking at these as well, and would pull the trigger on them…

.. except that I have two cash back checks at $62 each from Costco burning in my pocket. $125 out of pocket for something that would normally cost $250? No-brainer there.

BL.

Great devices no doubt but I can’t ever see myself buying a new one of these unless it gets true multi profile support and I see the same type of app support that you get with the Fire Sticks/Cubes of this world.
