Is Amazon Prime Membership worth it, or would $99 be better spent for a year of Apple Music?

Hi

The Amazon Prime Membership for $99 is 2M tracks
You can get Apple Music for $99 on a prepay for a year - as you mention.

.....
Same for UK users £99 for a year

I'm slightly bias as not too keen on Apple music.

I'm very lucky I have a prepay till Dec '19 with Google Play Music at a crazy low price.

Things to maybe consider Amazon Echo and Dot
SONOS integration hopefully for all service due soon.

I think the 2M tracks Amazon Music is good plus if you spend about $20 a year and have a lot of your own music you can upload to their server.
There is a 250 track upload which is free.

Google Play Music had a 50,000 tracks FREE upload.

So yes worth it if you use other Amazon Prime membership benefits as its free.

Prime offers you the ability to get music, videos, tv shows (some only on Amazon) and free shipping for purchases, along with some free books for your kindle (or kindle app).

Apple music only gives you streaming music AFAIK.

So, depending on what you want, Prime is a better all around deal but if you're only interested in music, I think Apple's music library is larger and more diverse then Amazon so you may be better off with Apple.

I would decide based on device i own. Apple is also getting better with more music added.. The fact they not pubicize it as much as others do should be no agreement to make our mind up..

It depends on content... You can have 2 million tracks o a service but only about 1 million are actually any good.

Look for what u'r after and then decide on the service that's right for you.

Thanks for all of the replies. I'm more into music and got back into iTunes Match recently. It's gotten better since the first time I tried it a couple of years ago.
