With Mojave install and under latest version release Amazon Music app won't launch at all. Anyone else?

Yes - I was uploading some music after the Mojave install and Amazon Music fell over. In spite of numerous deinstall and reinstalls I continue to get
Network Error
Unable to sign in due to no network connection

and can get no further. Amazon support have been unable to offer any solution for a couple of weeks - hoping one day to get past all the call handlers to some real technical support.
