It says its manufacturer refurbished but I'm surprised Amazon is selling this and not apple.

Has anyone else bought a refurb. iPad (or any electronic for that matter) from Amazon? Hear any reviews or thoughts?
I've had excellent experience with past refurb Apple products (from the apple website, however), I just don't want to be screwed if the title is lying to me.

I'm interested in pulling th plug, but would like to hear some thoughts.

I checked out the Amazon store for the reseller, looks like they could be a reseller of product bought from techliquidators.com (a bidding site for Best Buy returns) or another wholesaler like that. Lots of nice comments - but I wouldn't buy from them after reading the fine print. That iPad's already passed through 3-4 sets of hands before getting to you...

For me, however, I'm not comfortable with a 90-day warranty for something I'm paying around $500 for (or more) - I do buy certified refurbs from Apple, and part of the attraction is that I'm getting a 1-year warranty with an option to extend for 1-2 years depending on the product. For a few more bucks I get 4 times the warranty and I can make an exchange at a local Apple Store.

I agree with both of you, the price is right but the process to get to that price seems sketchy.

I'm waiting for another $400 sale.

Bookmark the Feedly feed for 9to5Toys or Lifehacker - there was an eBay sale just this morning for a 128GB version of the NEW iPad Air 2 for $590 - with 1-year warranty. I want an LTE version, so I'm waiting...

$100 off is nothing to sneeze at...
