With Amazon, I find prices average to good, but the free shipping for orders over $25 is a BIG plus to me.
Amazon prices were low years ago. Toady they're all artificially inflated, both on Amazon and elsewhere, due to Amazon. No such thing as free shipping. It's baked into the prices now.

I finished The Expanse ahead of schedule and already cancelled my AP membership! I look forward to trying out more SS (streaming services). On the SS side, I'm wondering if I'll have time to start another TV series. I might just watch a partial season, and either cut my losses and just read wikipedia summaries to fill in the blanks, or consider doing just a month to wrap up.

On the purchasing side, I'll consider buying a few items that normally wouldn't have free shipping.

Many of the things I buy on Amazon are close to the same or less than prices elsewhere.
The fact that they have such a wide variety of items makes it easy to buy several things (electronics + pet supplies + a new iPhone case for example) at once and not have to travel anywhere or pay shipping on below minimum orders from elsewhere.
Not to mention the ease of returning an item if necessary.

So Amazon's profits grew but still increases its fees to $139 for Prime membership so normal Prime members are literally subsidizing other members.
Amazon is so cheap that it could not just pay the subsidized Prime membership with its profits instead?? F Amazon!
I know people who have prime that don’t watch prime video, have Apple Music or Spotify, and order maybe a dozen times a year from Amazon.

These people clearly have too much money. Or maybe they never got the memo that others have been offering free 2 day shipping for years now.

I am a bit fed up with Amazon lately. I know people want to be able to compete with Amazon, but I have really been irritated that 90% of the products I look for on Amazon are default to be sold by some random seller instead of Amazon. I really wish this would go back to the old days where I can get stuff from Amazon not have to search for 15 minutes for the Amazon seller.
Issue is no one can compete. I can order Saturday evening and get it Sunday. I could have like five or more orders DELIVERED in the time others take to SHIP, and then the delivery takes another week. It's been nearly a fortnight for a QVC order. And QVC doesn't even offer a paid shipping upgrade. Only the POS snail garbage. Should have just paid more for the item on Amazon.

Even if Amazon is more, I'm buying there anymore. The delivery speed OBLITERATES everyone else. Can get things on a Sunday I order Saturday. And yes to the returns. I had a refund before I gave the package to UPS already.
