Amazon this week is providing record low prices on multiple models of the iPad mini 7, starting at $399.00 for the 128GB Wi-Fi tablet, down from $499.00. Best Buy is also matching every one of these deals.

Amazon has three colors of the 128GB Wi-Fi iPad mini 7 on sale at this all-time low price, and it's the first time in 2025 that we've seen any deal on the new tablet. You can also get the 256GB Wi-Fi iPad mini 7 for $499.00 and the 512GB Wi-Fi iPad mini 7 for $699.99, both $100 discounts and available in multiple colors.

Deals on cellular models are a bit rarer on Amazon, with one color of the 128GB cellular iPad mini 7 on sale for $549.00, down from $649.00. If you prefer shopping at Best Buy, remember that the retailer is matching all of these sales on the iPad mini 7.

Since the next entry level iPad will have the same chip, and the screen on the mini is mediocre, this price sounds great. I know the mini has other "pro" features like pro pencil support, but I'm not sure these are enough to justify the current price when compared to the rumoured upcoming iPad.

I'd love a less "pro" mini at a mini price.

Well, I am still learning to do better. I was anxious to update but should have waited for the sales and plan to in the future. I have to get off the early adopter train and onto the discounts a few months later train.

Seems like a crazy time for this, all things considered. A "proper" unannounced refresh around the corner?

I find the feature pencil support a “pro” feature just nonsense. Make pencil support available on all iPads already. Apple even benefits from it by selling more pencils.

The iPad mini is still overpriced for wat you get. Amazon already giving it a discount tells me that it isn’t a big seller.

I had one. I couldn't get past the mediocre screen, after owning a few Galaxy tabs. So strange. I imagine the next one, assuming there is a next one, will have an OLED, or just a better one would do. But they just updated this? Simply not enough love for this item.

I don’t get the “new” iPad mini was introduced with a mediocre screen. Even at $ 399,- I don’t consider it as a bargain and it still suffers from jelly scrolling.

All iPads support the Pencil. The Mini 7 just supports the Pencil Pro because the magnets changed - same as the Air and Pro.

The only iPad that doesn't is the iPad 10, which is due for a refresh.

Thanks 😊. I thought the mini was left out. Thanks for the clarification.

Those who live in the US, how much would it cost you including sales taxes on purchasing iPad mini? In Sweden including taxes it is around $607. (128gb)

Great, I was waiting for this and my patience grew thin so I ordered an open box from Best Buy literally last week for $516, 256gb model. That's just my luck, but oh well, it is what it is...
Why not contact Best Buy and ask them to price match? They do it after purchase… and should give you a credit. Worth a phone call to save a few bucks.

Happened to purchase the iPad mini 7 at the Apple Store few days ago, doubling the memory and getting the A17 Pro sure has a huge improvement coming from the 6th generation unit.
