Amazon today has every model of the 13-inch M3 MacBook Air on sale at new all-time low prices, starting at $949.99 for the 256GB model, down from $1,099.00. Every deal in this sale requires you to clip an on-page coupon and head to the checkout screen in order to see the final discounted price.

You can also get both 512GB models of the 13-inch M3 MacBook Air on sale right now on Amazon. The 8GB RAM/512GB SSD is on sale for $1,149.99 and the 16GB RAM/512GB SSD is on sale for $1,349.99, both of which are $149 off and record low prices.

Note: You won't see the deal price until checkout.

These notebooks were updated in March 2024 with the new M3 chip and no external design changes compared to the previous generation. Larger 15-inch models debuted at the same time, and right now we aren't tracking any discounts as steep as those on the 13-inch MacBook Air.

Keep up with all of this week's best discounts on Apple products and related accessories in our dedicated Apple Deals roundup.

This might be a good deal except we're probably a matter of months away from an M4 MacBook Air. 😅

I guess. I really wonder in practice how much different the actual experience of using an M3 vs M4 Air would be.

Hell, I'm using an M1 Air and it's not exactly holding me back from doing all the basic laptop stuff (office things, email, web stuff) very smoothly -- and even doing some graphic design. I guess if I was pushing the envelope harder I'd notice more?

I guess the one wildcard here is, what AI features will come out this year and how much better will they work on the M4? I could see that being the one thing that finally makes my M1 Air feel slow, if stuff I want to do starts getting laggy and slow.

I think it’s not about “better” but what features will be supported. The MacOS will come with less features for M3 than for M4.

We ordered 4000 of them. They're under $1100 at our negotiated CDW price at the 16g RAM/256g SSD configuration with the dual USBc charger, and it cuts our "entry level" Mac cost almost in half. Allows us to offer platform choice to any team that doesn't leverage a Windows-specific workflow/app... which are very few in number. It driving 2 external displays is a very big deal to our Desktop/ServiceDesk teams. They don't care about M2 Pro vs M3 vs M4. They cared about it working with 25,000 USB-C docks in the org and lighting up both monitors.

Enterprise lives and dies on $1100 MacBook Airs and $300 64gb iPad 10th gens.

Out of curiosity, what USB-C dock do you all use for these M3 Macs?

People are clearly sick of high prices. Even Target announced cutting price on over 5k popular products. Best laptop on the market but unfortunately soured consumers.
These devices always go on sale at 3rd party retailers months after release. It’s why I always tell people to buy their stuff at Amazon or Best Buy unless it’s the launch month. I was able to get $100 of both my m3 MacBook Air and m4 iPad Pro launch day in Apple Store because of my employer discount program.

I am going to buy one but I want 16 GB and 1 TB, and Amazon doesn’t have that option. If you order that configuration from Apple at full price it takes over a week to deliver. I am tempted to try to get by with 512 GB. But, that means using external hard drives to offload some things, and I don’t like that.

I had to pay a fortune cause I had to get 2TB 😁

I keep all my big media files (Photos, Music, TV libraries) on an external drive on my iMac, but it's a pretty awful experience on a laptop if you need regular access to that data. I lived for a while with a bloody flash drive sticking out of my MacBook Air because I started using it for work and the files got too big for the 256 GB internal SSD I'd bought. Never again.
