My wife's MBA i5 looks like it is dying, won't keep a charge. I decided to look for a replacement. Went to the Apple Refurb yesterday morning and found a couple of MBA 13" M4 for $849 but by the time I got home to confirm the color with her, they were gone and all they had were MBAs above $1k. I was almost ready to get one when I went to Amazon and saw a new 2026 MBA M5 13" going for $949. It only has an 8 core GPU vs the 10 cores on Apple Refurb but that won't make any difference to my wife and she will get a model a year newer and with the M5. Amazing to see the deals already available.
