My neighbor is selling his Ultra 2 from last year. I asked him why exactly, expecting him to say it's too big, which would be a good reason true because he actually does have small wrists like I do. But no, he wants the new color. I couldn't believe it. And you'd think the guy's rich but he works at the local supermarket and has 2 children. I just stood there frozen when he told me that.

Got mine. Slight brush against wood and it scratched. Retuned it promptly. The black coating goes against the ruggedness ultra stands for.
I have the Series 6 Edition in Black Titanium and it looks amazing still today. It’s been run against stone, brick, plaster, manufactured wood, and trees. Did people complain this much about this finish on the Series 6 and Series 7? I never saw it.

it’s not really that much of a stretch, what’s the net cost to him to go black? hopefully he saves elsewhere

Thanks for that note! I have been waiting for them to properly place the crown (centered with buttons on each side) but have been tempted by on-board Siri and now...blackness! Now, I can wait quietly 😶

Rich people spend like they're poor. Poor people spend like they're rich.

Already heard the exact opposite stories with pretty big smashes to walls etc. and no scratches. Not that it can’t be done but must take some force.

My ultra looks new after almost two years. Also my series 7 black titanium looked new when I sold it after 1,5 years

Not a lot of chatter about the new AW10...

My AW3 recently died. And my AW5 had horrendous battery life after I foolishly upgraded to Watch 10.0
No update fixed the churn through of battery and the battery itself was down (predictably) to 62%.
Impulse buy... black AW10 46mm

It was the cheapest latest gen one. No celllular.
TBH, I never used the cellular on my AW5. why pay more when I always carry my phone?

So first impressions are the bigger screen is great. A millimeter in that sized device makes a big difference.
Even bigger difference is the slight reduction in thickness. Teamed with the bigger screen it just feels more analogue watch like.

It's been nice to wake up, go for a walk and still have 81% battery instead of 47%.
Hopefully this one lasts me 5 years too...

do you have photos to share? cause I find that really hard to believe ... hd a SB S4 that went thru a lot and the case was pristine after over 3 years
