My neighbor is selling his Ultra 2 from last year. I asked him why exactly, expecting him to say it's too big, which would be a good reason true because he actually does have small wrists like I do. But no, he wants the new color. I couldn't believe it. And you'd think the guy's rich but he works at the local supermarket and has 2 children. I just stood there frozen when he told me that.
People enjoy certain things in life. Some people spend money on alcohol going out

Let’s say a typical person orders a total of 6 drinks per month (reasonable amount) at a cost of $12 a drink That’s $72 a month drinking out/drinking while ordering alcohol at restaurants.

That’s $864/year. Enough to buy a new ultra watch each year.

do you have photos to share? cause I find that really hard to believe ... hd a SB S4 that went thru a lot and the case was pristine after over 3 years
Not really. I already returned it. You can find photos on Reddit groups though of similar issues.

Seriously thank you for this post. I’ve been wondering how the black coating would hold up. The beauty of the natural titanium Ultra is that it doesn’t easily scratch.
My friend has an ultra 2 bought last year. Still looks pristine and he is not a careful user. Sad cause I liked the black so much

That is just foolishness. He could buy a Pitaka bumper in carbon fiber black and call it a day. Plus it’s missing the oxygen sensor. What an idiot.

$1400 for this model with that band in Australia, what a joke.

Cue the "Stop being poor anon, that's just Apple's pricing" defenders🙄.

Nobody wants a 2 year old watch
Why not? If it does the job, then it don't matter. My fitbit watch is over 2 years old.

that watch above looks nice, very chunky, but no way would i pay that much for a watch.

Buying an ultra isn’t even worth judging. Tell us how he does basic things in life. Does he take lunch/dinner to work? Does he go out drinking multiple times a week. I know a guy who judges other people but blows up 200 bucks on eating and drinking out per week. Dude could buy an ultra and not blink if he is disciplined in other areas of life.

Rich people also don't tell everyone they're rich.
The millionaire next door generation cliches are long gone. I know plenty of rich people who just show how rich they are and don’t give a damn what others feel. I grew up listening and reading Millionaire next door, but you will end up poorer if you go by that now. Many of things what made people rich have flippped.

Just my opinion, but if you can’t afford a $750 watch, something tells me you can’t really afford a $700 watch.

Amazon has the titanium Ultra 2 for $689 now. I picked one up to replace my Series 8 right after the Apple event (it was also delivered next day lol). The look and battery life are so much better. I should have bought one earlier.
