Amazon UK redesign

They have just updated the Amazon.co.uk site design today, to keep it in line with the US version. But where is the Wishlist link? Very baffling.

I've just ordered something and it's still the old style which I'm relieved about since I came back here just afterwards, read this thread and wondered how blind I was while shopping! 😉

I wonder if it's because I've a Prime membership that I'm seeing no change...

It hasn't changed for me either, and I'm a Prime member too.

Hang on a minute! I just went into Firefox to check, and it shows Amazon Prime along with my login. Maybe this is a Safari thing?

Very odd. The US site looks like that for me but the UK one is still missing the feature. Very odd.

Aha! Go into the bit of your browser where you manage cookies (on Safari it's Preferences -> Security -> Show Cookies', not sure on Firefox) and delete all the cookies for 'amazon.co.uk' that don't have 'session' in the name. If that doesn't work, delete them all, and if you open up Amazon and it still hasn't changed, keep doing it until it does. It didn't take me more than a couple of tries until the new design comes up.

I still get the old amazon.co.uk look and I'm happy because I have always hated the amazon.com redesign

I get the new design at work and the old design at home. This explains the issues.

Why do I see the new design on my home computer but not at work?

We're still in our testing phase so you may not see the new design all the time.

I thought my computer at home (Wind'ohs) might need a formatting until I read this. I like the new look though.

I hope they've improved the searching.

I like that when I'm browsing, I get all the options down the side to limit the options - to see Amazon only, prices brands etc

I hate that when I search for a generic area (rather than navigating to it), I just get a list of products with the only option being the area of the site. I still want to be able to limit by Amazon only etc.

And I hate how messy some of their merchandising is. I was looking for an SD card today and there were CF cards, Memory Sticks and even cameras dumped within it.
