Hey guys, hope your Saturday night is going swimmingly! I am delighted to inform the community that, after 5 years of fun with my 2.16ghz c2d mbp, I just picked up a "like new" early 2011 2.2ghz mbp for a screaming deal from Amazon's warehouse. I was wondering if any of you have also done this, and if so, what was the condition of the computer when you received it? Is there anything I should know?

How much did you pay and what are your specs and what was the condition?Did it have snl or lion. Did it have original box etc. I ask because i bought an open box early 2011 13" mbp in the box in mint cindition. It had just been returned within the 14 day return period and i paid $800. Its now under full apple warranty, phone support and apple care.

Just bought another 11" MBA from the warehouse last week...

No complaints whatsoever. It had the original box and acessories. The MBA was in great shape without any scratches. Best part it had a sammy ssd and screen.

I should get mine tomorrow, if UPS will let me pick it up after the first attempted delivery (signature required.. and of course I'll be at work)
 
so yeah, the computer is absolutely perfect. not a single scratch on it, just a little dust. had 6 battery cycles on it. overall I'm incredibly pleased with the purchase, especially for the price

my first Mac :D
 
Since the one year Apple warranty began when it was first bought, how many months of warranty were left once you received your Macs?
 
Mine has residual warranty until July 27, 2012. I did purchase AppleCare already to extend it.

Thanks. I know it varies for each mac returned to Amazon but just wondering how long it sat on the shelf until it was resold.

I thought about this for a while. Remember that the early-2011 update was in February, so you're guaranteed to at least have some residual warranty and the opportunity to purchase AppleCare.
 
you could buy refurb from Apple to get that full 1-year warranty, but the price difference ($245 + tax on $1699) would pay for AppleCare anyway

I was also able to catch this deal before it went to $1700. My MBP arrived today and its in absolutely perfect condition with all accessories. I will definitely be keeping an eye on this in the future.
 
What did you guys pay? I am going to contact amazon and see if they will price match. thanks for your info in advance.
 
Well, Guys With amazon Warehouse Deals, It will never me a return or refurbished computer, Products Sold by warehouse deals are Products that have been Damaged in handling (Stocking, Boxes Falling ECT), These products are most likely and Brand NEw condition just not the box!

Good luck Amy, I ordered/received mine a few weeks ago, paid $1439.

"Like new" - as described by Amazon Marketplace, 6 battery cycles, original Apple warranty which expires April 25, already ordered 2-year Applecare.
