Today we're tracking a few iPad discounts on Amazon, including the new iPad mini 7, M2 iPad Air, and M4 iPad Pro. These deals include multiple all-time low prices on Apple's tablets, matching the prices we tracked over the holiday season in many cases.

iPad Mini 7

Amazon this week is providing record low prices on multiple models of the iPad mini 7, starting at $399.00 for the 128GB Wi-Fi tablet, down from $499.00. Best Buy is also matching every one of these deals, and in some cases it has better delivery estimates.

M2 iPad Air

Amazon has nearly every model of Apple's M2 iPad Air on sale this week at $100 off, all of which are matching the record low prices for each tablet. You'll also find Best Buy matching these discounts, and you don't need to be a My Best Buy Plus/Total member to get the deals.

M4 iPad Pro

Similar to the iPad Air tablets, both Amazon and Best Buy are providing record low prices on Apple's M4 iPad Pro this week. For the 11-inch models, on Amazon you'll need to clip an on-page coupon to see the final sale price, and on Best Buy you'll need to be a My Best Buy Plus/Total member.

The same stipulations don't apply to 13-inch models, which are available without coupons or the need of a membership. Every price listed below is the match of an all-time low price on each iPad Pro model.

What does the 13" Pro have over the 13" Air that would make me go that direction?

Generally I'm in the camp of "if you're asking why you might need the Pro you don't", especially given the price delta, but I can touch on a few things:

It's a little lighter and does have an OLED panel if those are things that matter to you, as well as a 120hz panel. The increased RAM is only on 1/2TB models, which also have the option for the anti-glare nano-etched cover glass.

Another item would be the keyboard if you want one - the Air uses the 2020+ Magic Keyboard cover, the Pro uses the newer aluminum decked variant with a reworked hinge.

Why do the sales never include the cellular model? It's always the wifi only model. Really need to replace our mini, but need cellular access on it.

Thought about trying the 13" iPad Pro again with the reduction in weight etc. I'd always preferred the smaller versions, but was disappointed to see the versions < 1TB of storage still only have 8GB of RAM. Thought I had read that they had upgraded the larger 13" across the line to 16GB. I'll pass with the rumors we might get a M5 version this year.

Although its obviously better to have more RAM, with the iPad Airs/Pro and the way iPad OS works (more efficient with RAM due to tighter developer parameters), its not as essential compared to Mac OS. I have Safari and Chrome open with multiple tabs, as well as multiple Apps in the background whilst using Stage Manager on a Monitor and they never refresh for me on my base iPP M4 11" which has 8 GB RAM.

I expected iPad minis to be a lot cheaper, I don't understand why they're so persistently expensive 🤷🏻‍♂️
They’re still semi-mid range devices, in terms of processor (A17 Pro), RAM (8GB), etc (laminated display and Apple Pencil Pro support). Others are quick to point out the lack of ProMotion, but the iPad Air also lacks ProMotion, and is given a mid range price too.

Very curious how long the wait will be for the Mini 8 (hopefully with OLED and/or ProMotion). Apple seems to like waiting anywhere from 2 1/2 years to 3 1/2 years between iPad Mini releases, while the Air gets a new release about every 1 1/2 years. So it could be a while.

True, mini is expensive yet forgotten 🤣 the Air is getting a lot more attention

I just picked up the Starlight 256 Cellular for $649. Odd that it is now $749 and the Space Gray is $649 when it was $749 on Sunday... I would have gone with Space Gray, but TBH color doesn't mater, its always in a case any how

the fact that there is some close overlap in pricing of the air vs the mini makes for an interesting dilemma. the ipad air feels like a better bang for the buck…trying to decide between the 2.
Really comes down to one handed, vs two handed holding for most people. You get use to either. Air supports stage manger. Mini not.

What does the 13" Pro have over the 13" Air that would make me go that direction?
Better screen. Better speakers. Double memory. Lighter, thinner.

Honestly this iPad is the first product in years that truly feels Apple “magical” again.

The only thing that’s disappointing is I paid 100 bucks more last week to get it.

Good discount on all the models. But might be better to wait and see if someone is planning to get an iPad Air. The M2 versions might get even higher discounts after the launch of the next version.
