Looks like part iPhone, part Nexus. Not a fan of the very visible big screws at the bottom.

Looks like an iPhone...... Wow so should we expect Apple to sue Amazon too?

Skinned City? Time will tell.

I have a Kindle Fire btw. Thank goodness for alternate launchers.

It looks like an iPhone 4 had sex with a Nexus 4. Not good looking and I'm sure the software will be junk.

The concept drawings look so much like an iPhone.

I'd say the only reason why they're doing this is provide another mechanism to sell their services, i.e., streaming and kindle, etc. With that said, I don't see this being a fit for Amazon but I've been wrong before.

Besides a supposedly unique 3D, gesture based UI...

Isn't one of the predicted Amazon phone benefits, something called "Prime Data"?

Which could be anything from free streaming of Amazon media, to just a discount on it.

No matter what, a cheaper plan could make it a big hit with media consumers.

Depends on which carriers it attracts. While obviously they'll be selling the phone directly, not having it on shelves at the ATT/T-Mo/VZW stores may hamper its overall success.
