It’s been this price for almost two weeks now. I traded in my M2 MBA and iPad Mini and upgraded to an M3 MBA @ Bestbuy. Asked them to price match Amazon 899.00 deal and they did. It was an easy transaction

No,

My question was much more simple: how much do you pay a Windows license to use it in a Virtual Machine?
My reply wasn’t really for that question, just a connotation that came to mind.

BUT, for your specific question:
I guess the usual full enterprise license if needing all the enterprise networking features for that VM.
If the VM is going to use none of the enterprise features then an office one. If it is for your home hobby use then a home one.
If you are a student playing with VMs then the price of the student one.

A VM in practice is treated as a completely separate machine, when installing windows in parallels desktop windows does ask to buy a full license.

No, a 13" at the Swedish Apple Store online.
It's not a lot different prices here between Apple Store and the other stores that sells Mac's actually.
I checked it up, and didn't feel it was worth the hassle to buy it elsewhere.
Apple always pays better for tradeins such as my old 2018 MBA that had fulfilled its service too.
It's also way smoother and easier with Apple. They deliver and pick up at my door, while other companies don't.
Only once have something caused problem with Apple's delivery over the yrs. It was when my Apple Studio Display should be delivered, but 1 call with the right person at Apple solved it, and 15 mins later it arrived well at my door.
That does sound nice! Thanks for sharing your experience.

Even my iPod Nano and iPhone 3G I didn’t get directly from Apple haha

And when I went back to iPhone with my current 14PM I seriously flew to Amsterdam and back because getting it there from a retailer + the cost of flying and staying was lower than getting it from anyone in Norway haha

I don’t think I’ll ever get something directly from Apple myself. It’s just so much more expensive. Like for example with the MacBook it would be cheaper to fly to the USA and have a week long holiday and get it there than to get it here from Apple…🤪

I think by typing this out I’ve actually convinced myself to not get a MacBook anymore. Having to pollute the environment that much to make it affordable to me isn’t the way to go. I’ll just get a nice oled machine with the storage capacity I actually need for 1/3rd the price instead.

Amazon this weekend has record low prices on every M3 MacBook Air, including the 13-inch and 15-inch models. Amazon introduced this sale about one week ago and it remains one of the only retailers to have these all-time low prices on the 2024 MacBook Air.

Of course they do. They're some of the largest mail order electronics suppliers in the country, been that way since the 90s.
😱

Wonder why they haven’t expanded their physical stores outside New York then? They would be popular just like Micro Center………

Because they do the bulk of their business online, they were some of the first vendors to do that at scale. The 'primary' business is cameras but they both took advantage of the nascent e-commerce opportunities at the dawn of the internet and expanded into general electronics and household items, sorta like smaller scale versions of Amazon. Their physical stores in central Manhattan are large but concentrated to single locations and probably retained for the extreme population density.
