Hey all,

I have an iPhone 4 and recently installed the gold mid-case mod, I didn't like it and buttons were unresponsive so I changed back to the original but after installing the gold mod I noticed the ambient light and proximity sensor stopped working.

These two sensors as far as I can tell are connected on the same ribbon cable so I assumed that it was a bad connection but after reattaching it a few times it still doesn't work. I think it is also attached to the power button which is working so now I'm a little confused.

Any advice I really want this fixed!

Okay then, can someone PLEASE link me to a site that might be able to help?

thx

Try iFixit. They have comprehensive tear downs of all Apple devices and many others. If you damaged something, this site can provide either genuine or certified replacement parts.

Thank you very much!, replacement bought, but not sure if ripped off - replacement from ifixit costs £25 but is $2-$14 elsewhere.

Thx again!

Guess you learned a lesson.... don't try and modify your very expensive products as you may make them or part of them not work.
