I've had my new laptop for a few days now and have noticed Apple have placed the ambient light sensor to the top of the screen near the webcam.

I use the computer with the screen opened at around 110 degrees, exactly the same way I've used every other MacBook with no issues (backlight turns on when lights off, and vice-versa). However, on this computer, the keyboard is constantly lit even in a well-lit room unless I angle the screen to face the light. (at which point the backlight turns off as expected)

I'm just wondering whether or not anyone else is noticing this, or perhaps it's just poor light sensor calibration on ML?

yeah.. .mines the same way, I almost have to be shining bright light right into the screen or the keyboard backlight will stay on.
