This is the Premium tier of the subscription service, allowing you to stream without ads (with limited exceptions), access to six live TV channels, and the ability to download and watch programs on the go. It also features full access to Shudder, BBC America, and Sundance Now.

To get the deal, you can follow this link on Amazon and click "select plan" under the AMC+ Premium tier option. From there, you can select the Annual option to add the AMC+ Premium subscription to your channels list for just $29.99 for one year.

Shoppers should note that the price will increase to $109.99 per year at the end of your first year unless canceled. This discount is expected to expire on May 25, so be sure to lock in the sale soon if you're interested.

Cancel all streaming subscriptions. They are all worthless in the long term, and one should only subscribe month to month if they want to binge a show. No point in annual contracts with these money hungry goons. Antenna still gets me like 40 OTA channels as well so save yourself some money in times when most can't afford much.

I haven't watched BBC America in several years, is it still a giant scam that just plays Star Trek: The Next Generation all day with a random episode of Doctor Who thrown in? BBC America would ironically be your last choice if you're interested in watching British television.

No need to pay for Star Trek of any kind.
Pluto is amazing for this! They have it all!

All the series and movies.

If people don't subscribe then these services will have to go to pay per view and/or advertising.

Which is great.

Because then we could get rid of all of the fodder studios produce for people that just want background noise while they do something else.

I'm considering it only because they did just get the rights to the 2005-2022 era of Doctor Who, which hadn't had a commercial-free USA streaming option since they left HBO Max last year. I'm bummed it's not on a bigger service (like Netflix or ideally AppleTV), but hey, the cheap rate will make it worth it to try out for a year, for me at least.

The official Doctor Who site's press release about the AMC+ deal.

Meanwhile, Doctor Who 1963-1989 (plus 1996) still streams ad-free on BritBox, and 2023-2025 on Disney+, while as mentioned above, Tubi and PlutoTV have the classic series on their ad-supported services.
