...and whether ATI can get reasonable TFLOPs without absurdly high Watts.

The Founder's Edition (FE) on air at 300 watts????
This is either a really powerful card, or another power hog. From what we know so far, it may be a pretty decent card, but i'm not holding my breath. I recently found a RX 580 for a great deal. Should be going to pick it up this week, should be a FCPX beast from what i'm told

I would have bought a Mantiz eGPU box to try the 580 with High Sierra but I can't find any details about international warranties against faulty hardware. The site implies no international returns.

I cannot buy any of RX 580, RX 570, and I can buy just two models of RX 560 in my country(Poland).

GPU shortage is everywhere.
You have to phone and say you are serious buyer not just inquirer. Then some of these big online resellers will help you. They write 'waiting for stock' on the website to bump up the price and prevent being flooded with time wasters.

I know how it works ;).

I sell computers, myself. Made from parts from DIY market.

That is the degree of problem in my country ;). Every supply is consumed in absolutely terrifying time in my country.

You are making yourself look less credible by linking to anything at r/AMD. That subreddit is a disaster, filled with a bunch of teenage kids with moms credit card that attack you for saying anything remotely bad about AMD.

I actually never care about comments. I care about the link in that Subreddit:

Vega is 16% slower per clock than Fury X in Apples to Apples comparison.

One more thing:
Adored again made best analysis of the situation of Vega.

Is the Powercolor Devil Box fully compatible now with the MBP16/17 and High Sierra? When it first came out it didn't have the latest Thunderbolt chipset and firmware.

I've heard it works on the 5k iMac fine but not sure on the recent MBP's. Try reaching out to the guys over at eGPU.io
Yeah I go there often but the forums need a bit of a tidy up and reorganise. It's hard to follow.

Also I went to Mantiz site and there's no warranty info and it says no returns for international customers. I'd really like to know is there a warranty if the box fails.

Can you give us a synopsis of what that 15 minute video says?

Give us something that we can read in 15 seconds, and maybe decide to spend 15 minutes on the full story.
They interviewed several card and PSU vendors who expressed their mixed feelings about the situation. Maybe it is rather obvious in general, but I had been already wondering what they really thought about it.

As for NVIDIA and AMD, it shall remain a mystery.

Thanks.

Continuing with the theme of budget in these mining times, I see some people spending what I think is too much money on crappy cards on amazon.

These are run at 1080p, not at the lowest settings, and there's capture software running on the same machine.

That's why you see a similar mid range APU performing better in a couple of the previous videos.

This is the first in a series at youtube.
