Hi guys,
I look for your help, because I bought a HD6670 (1GB Sapphire Ultimate Silent) to use it on my G5 Quad, but once installed (on the 8x slot), I do not get any video signal, the PC recognizes it.

Tried both with Void Linux,
a perfectly working installation that I used since 4/5 days (that gives me "No Signal" with AMD)
despite blacklists the nouveau module I get no change.
Non-free radeon modules are installed.

That with Debian installed from net-cd,
installed the non-free firmware module,
installed a graphical user interface (XFCE)
and blacklisted the nouveau module:

tty1 doesn't start automatically anymore on Nvidia (pressing ctrl+alt+F1 starts)
anyway it displays the boot log, AMD outputs video signal but black screen.

Some settings are missing, what am I doing wrong?
Matteo

Thanks,
the "lspci -v" , "dmesg | grep radeon" and the "X.0.log" came from Debian configuration (currently):

Thanks guys

Hi guys,
I came to the result that the "X.0.log" log file gives me this error (after correcting the Xorg configuration file that used "amdgpu" in "radeon" as default):

(EE) no devices detected.
(EE) no screens found(EE)

From here I am stucked, I get signal but black screen on the HD6670 and get the boot log on Nvidia.
Thanks

(ArchWiki rulezz :) )
Try this.
"Xorg configuration

Xorg will automatically load the driver and it will use your monitor's EDID to set the native resolution. Configuration is only required for tuning the driver.

If you want manual configuration, create /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-radeon.conf, and add the following:

Section "Device"
Identifier "Radeon"
Driver "radeon"
EndSection

Using this section, you can enable features and tweak the driver settings."

Thank you for your answer,
Unfortunately I get the same error in Xorg's log and the same "visive" situation.

I think this is the output that we need:

Have you tried different distro, like Void? (This is one & only which have working Firefox, at least on my Quad).

I'm Italian, this is Debian 10.6 installed from a netiso and configured with a guide on this site for repository.

I was using Void before, that's the one that works best, but still it didn't give me any output (no Signal) on the second card.

I did a test with the Lubuntu live using a tool to set a second active monitor I have video output but with the screen completely striped unusable.

I can try to reinstall Void, but unlike Debian I don't know where to put my hand for the settings.

Okay i'm with a fresh and update Void installation,
the "xf86-video-ati" and "modesetting" pakage are already installed.
Actually no signal from HD6670, normal GUI from Nvidia.
I'm writing form it.

Could the slot being used be the problem? Currently the HD6670 is on the x8 slot and the Nvidia on the x16

Don't think so. In my quad Geforce lives in x8 slot & works, Radeon in x16 & not works :D. Tried to swap some time ago - no difference. BTW, in Gentoo can't compile kernel, when amdgpu module is selected - crashed at module compilation phase & logs error wright at amdgpu compilation.
