That's really cool. Grand Analog, is that you?

I listen to the podcasts (Grant Lawrence's and the R3-30) every week. Awesome music.

Based on my Saturday night experience, I couldn't agree with you more. Bad.

No not that one, but his promos aren't used much on CBC3 anymore, I'm mainly on a promo or 2 on the web radio shows (where fans do the promos basically)

I've had an infinite number of requests and whatnot on R3-30/Grant's show over the years.. pretty crazy, Craig rocks to talk to, I remember having a chat with him when he was actually hosting for Grant onetime, he got all excited when Pedro told him it was me, it was funny

Yes, but have you ever spun The Wheel of Freedom?

And to stay on topic, I think that I'm going to try the Pyramid Hefeweizen if I go to a bar this weekend.

Nope, I predate wheel of freedom, I got two satellite radios from them, one for a contest I won on Grant's show, and one for the R3-30 for calling in to a live edition to the R3-30 back when it was on CBC Radio 2 (the final CBC Radio 2 episode). I was the first person to ever be "live on the air" on R3-30 (including those episodes where they go to a skating rink or somewheres for an episode) and my friend was the last person on the same episode.. it was quite cool

Speaking of beer.. my roommate has been stealing my beer glasses lately.. I'm ready to get the landlord involved.. many of these beer glasses are no longer available, and some are imported or from other regions of the country. One of them being a nice Sleeman beer glass that has its label embossed on it like the beer bottles.. really fancy looks a bit like this:

I really want my freaking glasses back already.

Anywho, last time I was in the states, I picked up a mini keg of Grolsch, because my part of Canada didn't sell any sort of mini kegs back then (they do now). I was intrigued to try one. Lets just say that mini kegs aren't even near as good as *gasp* canned beer.. it seems to be flat even as soon as you open the mini keg.. disgusting..

Oh ya and that beer glass in the picture was stolen too..

I know the glasses that you're talking about. Steal them back from that f'er.

I took this pic at a bar in Culver City. I guess now that the price of gas is coming down, it's a little less relevant to the times:

I have to admit that after having German beers (and wine) they are tops bar none. Too bad it's almost impossible to find their really good stuff because they don't export it.

I'm an Amber man myself. The best I've had yet is Alaskan Amber. Second is an Cascade Amber Ale by Phantom Canyon Brewery (fantastic food by the way) and third would be Amber Bock (Michelob) ... the only beer from a large commercial beer company that I like.

As far as UK beer goes, I've never had any, but I have family that's visited and said the room temp beer was disgusting. That wouldn't surprise me though since the food is generally known to be awful (My wife concours that only pubs have good food there).
