I was one of the early adpoters of the iPhone, I have been very happy with the iPhone since day 1. After reading all the messages on this and other websites (don't post too much, just like to read), I too was dissapointed that apple decided to reduce the price so early, but, business is business and I was able to understand their tactic. Was not expecting any credit what so ever, so when they decided to do it I did it as well. I called AMEX 2 weeks ago and filed the claim, (I have the business Gold Card), and they did file it. Yesterday I received an email informing me that AMEX agreed to credit me $100.00 on the iPhone (they did not have to do it since the price protection plan would not work on this situation). They also encouraged me to apply for the credit on the Apple store which I just did and I received the online credit and PIN number. At the end, at least for me, I got more than what I was expecting.
