How can anyone mention biking in LA and not mention some places that actually have bike lanes like Venice, Culver City, and Santa Monica? The "Miracle Mile" area mentioned is not very bike friendly at all. Lots of car traffic, wall to wall parallel parking, crowded side walks, and relatively narrow roads make it less than ideal. I don't mind it personally, but I know most people do.

I Can't imagine a better urban biking city than Vancouver

it's so bike friendly, the entire city is outline by a "sea wall bike trail" as well as built in bike trails in the urban stanley park

and that's just downtown, North Shore Vancouver is practically mecca for mountain bikers

as good as it gets right here me thinks

I love my Kona, and I love this city

:)
