On Linux there are many fans of tiling window manager. I have installed Amethyst on macOS Ventura for about a month. Basically I like the concept of automatic arrangement very much.

However, I can't get a grip on the software at all. It sometimes does what it wants, I have little control.

Am I just too stupid? How can I work productively with tiling window managers like Amethyst?

Are there instructions, absolute basics for idiots? Or is it the software Amethyst which is not yet fine?

I've been happy with Moom for window management.

Is there anything that, when you resize or move a Finder window, will automatically resize/reposition other Finder windows so that no window is on top of another?

It may not be exactly what you are looking for, but with Swish you can, “Quickly resize multiple snapped windows at once by dragging the divider between them.”
