Amethyst: am I too stupid for a tiling window manager or is it the same for others?

On Linux there are many fans of tiling window manager. I have installed Amethyst on macOS Ventura for about a month. Basically I like the concept of automatic arrangement very much.

However, I can't get a grip on the software at all. It sometimes does what it wants, I have little control.

Am I just too stupid? How can I work productively with tiling window managers like Amethyst?

Are there instructions, absolute basics for idiots? Or is it the software Amethyst which is not yet fine?

I like Moom and Rectangle, but if you are a trackpad user I highly recommend Swish.

It may not be exactly what you are looking for, but with Swish you can, “Quickly resize multiple snapped windows at once by dragging the divider between them.”
