Did anyone have Amex cover the third year of a damaged phone under the conditions of AppleCare+? Amex rep says Amex will cover third year but only mirrors the warranty that came originally with the phone. My thinking is AppleCare+ was added to the first year warranty by adding accident protection. Both phone and AC+ was purchased with Amex. I'm replacing a 5s with cracked screen and poor battery performance with a new phone and it would be nice if Amex mirrored the AppleCare+.

So has anyone had Amex pay for broken screen damage in the third year?

When I had a tv go I had to fax the original warranty to Amex.
They covered exactly what the original warranty stated.
On site service, labor and parts. And if parts weren't available a refund (credit on my bill) would be issued.
The tech inspected for damage and needed to state they're was no physical damage.
Amex was very easy to deal wil but they did have rules.

I dont think they mean the added coverage of AppleCare. They mean the original warranty.

Thank you. I've used Amex extended warranty for other items but I'm curious about AppleCare+. If that adds additional coverage to the original warranty and if anyone has had Amex cover those terms in the third year.
