For the first time, I actually got a push notification on my apple watch today for an amex purchase. I always get the notification, but it does not actually cause the watch to vibrate. Today the "amex badge" showed and then the purchase showed (which is what my other cards do). Looks like there was maybe an update to the app so the push functions work similar to other apps.

I don't think it's a new thing as I've always gotten push notifications from Amex since day one. However, it's quite annoying as they also get pushed whenever you swipe an Amex card or purchase something online so I have it turned off.

It should mirror iPhone notifications from Passbook & Apple Pay if you have "Mirror my iPhone" enabled in My Watch settings, at least for Amex.

Yours actually vibrates and alerts you? My amex never has. That is with multiple apple watches across multiple iPhones I have tried. The alert shows in the notification pull down, but I would never get a physical vibrate. For example, facebook shows the fb logo and the the notification. My amex did that today for the first time.

So you're saying you've always gotten push notifications on your AW from Amex but they didn't vibrate before? I've had it turned off since wOS 1.0 so my memory is fuzzy, but I would assume it did. Not sure why it wouldn't vibrate if you have "Mirror my iPhone" enabled in My Watch settings, really no different from any other notifications.

The same way a lot of notifications didn't when the watch first came out. Instagram use to never vibrate. The notification would show, but there was no vibrate alert on the actual watch.
