Hey guys .... just got a reply from Tech Support at Ampaudio for their power pack and sound booster for the iPhone (5s, 6 and 6+). They know it is crap hardware for the Macintosh community and are pushing it anyway. Don't buy it on pre-sale, and if you have thinking it is good .. GET YOUR MONEY BACK.

:eek::eek::eek:

Hello Alan,

Thanks for writing to us. I definitely understand your concerns regarding the charging port. We currently use a micro-usb port for charging like the Mophie case so our solution might not work for you. We will make an announcement should this change in the future.

Cheers,
Tuyen

Hi guys.

I discovered some disturbing hardware facts with the Mophie Space pack, that is very similar in design and use as your soon to be released AMPaudio pack.

I am interested in the purchase of such a toy ... for the power and the sound quality.

However, what I need to sort out is the Apple Lightening Connector at the bottom of your AMPaudio case ...

or ... do you have a special USB cable port like Mopie has.

If so ... that is going to be very bad and something that will keep me away from the purchase.

I like to use my iPhone on the road, and the Apple USB lightening cable works best of that on the iMac and the Kenwood Stereo for that matter.

The special Mophie USB cable, is not only 4 times slower for data transfer, and only works for plug re-charge from the wall socket, but it is also seen as NO DEVICE by my Kenwood at their USB port in the vehicle.

If it is a Lightening Port connector .. then the Kenwood USB socket would see it as a iPhone for hands free talking .. or an iPod for hands free music.

So, if you care to reply to this ... let me know ... if your AMP audio package is going to have an Apple Lightening Port in there for a compatible Apple USB cable to be used on.

If not ... I do appreciate your honesty and urge you to fix that if you want to make any sales.

As the cautionary word is going on in to the Apple Community now about how Lightening Port on Accessory is mandatory for freedom of use.

Otherwise you are just buying a headache and will soon be throwing it as well as your money away.

My very warmest regards.

So no one should buy it because it uses a micro USB....what the majority of phones on the market use? Ummmm Ok.

Well if you have an Apple Lightening USB jack ... on your iPhone ... then your Kenwood or Panasonic or what ever USB jack you plug your micro USB into will NOT recognize your iPhone or iPod or iPad for that matter.

To the Sony USB port your iPhone do not exist .. same for the iPod blah blah stuff you have around for your iMac to sync up with.

If you want the Micro USB to **** up your life, cause you LOVE taking it off when ever you have to use your iPhone for the truck or car or the home stereo .. or for your iMac for that matter ... go right ahead.

I have a Mophie Space Pack that doesn't work ... on my iMac hook up and don't work for spit.

I do not want to take the Mophie Space Pack off every time I want to use my iPhone ... to much of a hassle for me. Now the Mophie is not even worth a paper weight to me.

For you ... go right ahead ... hassle up your life and live a headache .. and even pay for a headache.

If it do NOT have an Apple Lightening USB hook up on .. I am NOT GOING TO BUY IT ... that is me.

You go right ahead ...

:confused::confused::confused:

Pretty much none of these power case makers actually use a lightening port to charge do they?

Every one I've seen has used regular old usb.

So far .... I have to agree ...

there are electronic third party add ons .. that do have lightening jacks to put into the Apple port like on your iPhone.

However ... everything out there seems to be made for Android with the old USB port ... that is pretty much non functional for Apple products and a waste of money.

Some one just Builds an FM Power Pack with Speakers that also protects the iPhone and has a lightning port on the bottom .. so you can hook up to the iMac with ease and full function ...

they will make millions of dollars in a year.

People will be cutting code for free Apps ... for 96X your FM radio for example.

Or just click on the FM scanner and save your favorite stations .. etc. like on your car or home stereo.

That would be way cool ...

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
