An advantage to semi-tethered jailbreak!

I have an advantage to a semi-tethered jailbreak. In the past, if you were jailbroken and wanted to watch Sky Go you'd be stuck and would have to miss the big football game.

But with semi-tethered, all you've got to do is turn your phone off and back on again and you're back to stock so you can watch the big game. Then once the games over, simply re-run Yalu and you're back jailbroken. Result!

Yes, this is probably the best way to go. Simply rebooting the phone will not stop apps from detecting the JB as the phone is jailbroken.

In Settings -> FlipControlCenter , BOTTOM SHELF section , Active Switches -> Respring -> TAP ACTION , select Respring , HOLD ACTION select Safe Mode , OPTIONS Require Confirmation

Now when you bring up Control Center, on the bottom row there will be a small phone icon with a progress meter around it. Tap it to Respring, Hold it to go to Safe Mode. A confirmation dialog box with come up if you want to actually perform the action.

Respringing into safe mode still does not stop my banks app from knowing my phone is still jailbroken.

Tsprotect still hasn't been updated to iOS 10 yet either and that used to work for me.Not sure if this would even work for the OP now.

Set the action and check the toggle if you want for confirmation. Mine is set to respring on press and Safe Mode when I press and hold.

Then, just call up Control Center and use the button however you have it set up.

I have a 6+ on 9.0.2 and TSsprotect still doesn't seem to work on it as my banks app still warns me. It used to work and then it stopped.

My bank uses a different version for my iPad so it doesn't detect the JB on it.

Still FlipControlCenter. I have it set to unpaged so it just puts all the icons there. I can scroll left or right.

Can someone test this on the sky q app? Can you download a recording from your box without the app crashing?

I will d/l FCC and look at what it does...may be interesting.

I don't do anything secure from my phone so apps squawking about being JB is a non-issue for me.

One advantage of semi-tethered to untethered is that there is a semi-tethered jailbreak for iOS10.

There is also more "natural" tweak called PowerTap which gives more options to slide to power off by tapping "turn off" icon.

Oh well, it seems that going into Safe Mode does not allow us to watch Sky Go!

Any other suggestions please guys?
