Bemused by folk blaming the low emission zone tbh. Hardly affects any normal cars at all. Do you all drive lorries or something?

Cabots has struggled since Covid. Allowing the cinema to close was a massive facepalm by the owners and House of Fraser going under has left the biggest store space there empty. The vibe has got a bit edgy lately too, not a nice place to be after dark.

I guess all those Apple customers with 20 year old cars buying thier iphones at Cribbs has really tipped the balance though eh.
Mate, clearly you don't understand ULEZ in this country then, and it's their not 'thier.'

I encourage anyone reading this to look for themselves at the clean air zone rules on Bristol.gov.uk (they affect Petrol cars pre 2006, and Diesel’s pre 2015).

Once you’ve absorbed the info there decide for yourselves on the likelihood that a small cramped Apple store in a failing shopping centre is closing due to a city wide scheme designed to reduce pollution from commercial traffic.

My car falls foul of ULEZ, which is why I mentioned it. In 6 years or so, the car will be exempt so I’ll be able to drive it in Bristol again, but I probably won’t as practically all the roads in central Bristol are being closed to private vehicles. So yeah, this is the reason at least one person doesn’t go to the Apple Store in Cabot Circus!

Only just seen this, but I will miss it - it is in walking distance of where I live and I have bought (at least) one iMac, one MacBook Pro, three MacBook Airs, two iPads and numerous phones there. The store at Bath may be only 13 miles, but that's not close in UK transport terms and the Cribbs Causeway Mall is horrible soulless place that I avoid where possible.
