When you are playing music via the iPod and you triple click the home button and swipe left to bring up the controls, the song and artist information scrolls at the bottom of the screen.

Landscape iCal? Sounds promising!

The biggest thing is the Notifications and Lockscreen for me, I am so pumped for this release. Anything else is gravy. And from the looks of things they went to town on making improvements for this next release!

Custom ringtone for each contact, definitely. Custom text tone? Never seen that option in iOS4; it's not like there are many to choose from as things stand ;-)

Garage Band is a huge help in this area :) and the iTunes store I guess, but I've used Garage Band to make or edit all kinds of ringtones.

Surprised no one mentioned how Apple killed off the "popover" menu in portrait Mail (on iPad). When you tap inbox now, it slides a new pane into view that remains there until you slide it out of view. Much better than before.

That was shown off in the keynote. You can even swipe from left to right on the screen to view the inbox.

Chapter Markers for TV Shows / Music Videos

Does the iPad actually support Chapter Markers for TV Shows and Music Videos? It is currently the only iOS device that only supports chapter markers for Movies, not TV Shows and Music Videos.

I have a ton of concert videos, and the lack of support on the iPad is annoying.

You need your eyes checked. That's not a list of all 200 changes.

Firstly, sorry I misinterpreted your post, I thought you meant a list of features that were demoed at the keynote, not all 200 features.

Secondly, I need my eyes checked? How rude.

It would be nice if Apple did detailed changelogs, but they have never done that for any of their software ever.

iCal on lock screen

It's nice how the notifications will be accessible in iOS 5 from the lock screen, but will scheduled events/appointments for the current day also be displayed?

Are Emoji emoticons now part of the OS?

They are now easily available from the keyboard menu for all languages. You no longer need to use any apps to unlock them. They are also now available in Lion ... to see anyway. I don't know how you can type them in Lion.

Does anyone know if they've made the time stamp in the text messaging regular (IE: for every single message)?

The alarm clock function from the lock screen is already there in 4.2, maybe well before that.

THIS!! I can't remember when this function WASN'T there!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

I mean the s teen brightness access on the iPhone. I know the iPad has decent access to this. Anyone?

multitouch gestures already present in ipad 2

Quote:
Multitasking Gestures in iPad. Use four or five fingers, swipe up to reveal the multitasking bar, pinch to return to the Home screen, and swipe left or right to switch between apps.

this is already available on my ipad 2 with IOS4

Need podcast subscriptions straight on the phone!

What about "29.LED Flash for Alerts"!!!!

Is this going to be using the camera flash and proximity sensor to periodically blink when the phone is face down and possibly only in silent mode as a different alert method?
That's an accessibility function targeted at the deaf. It would be nice for them to add that option for the rest of us though.

It only shows a timestamp if the minutes have changed. Personally, I like it that way.
