What is the best extracting program?

I have like, 4 of them, but I want do get of them and keep the best one.

The tools built into Mac OS X. Tar and Gzip.

But, does that extract .rar archive?

I download files that have .rar extensions, so I need something for that.

How can I make that the default archiver? Nevermind. I found it.

But, does that one work with multiple files? Where you click on one (and there are 10 more files) and it makes one big file?

You can use Split and Concat to do that.

I've never used it for such a task. I didn't even know you could do something like that. Why would you want to do something like that?
