And INCLUDE tethering already!!![]()
That one still puzzles me if my Samsung Jack can tether to my laptop why can't the iPhone? Heck 10.6 supports the Jack as modem directly.
yes, why would Apple keep coming out with a new version of the most popular phone of all time, which happens to have captured a huge chunk of the smartphone market.
That would be CrAZy!!!!
Credibility and believability of the analyst. Why would anyone rate this negative?
The biggest turn off to Apple for me has been them abandoning there computers.
I may not be very popular after I say this, but who the hell cares about the iPhone any longer. Did Apple stop making computers. Arn is this not directed at you sir, but Apple. The iphone has been done to death. So it may be a little faster, who cares?!? Bring out computers Apple! Bring out a better Apple TV, update the monitors, make us fall in love again with the pros. Give us something now instead of showing us a product and not release it for two months (iPad of course)

Apple's financials are available in the investor section of their corporate website. You can find links to SEC filings from the usual places (e.g., Yahoo Finance). I will leave it as a homework assignment for you to find this publicly-available information.Something I'd like to know is what Apple's average profit margin is? Out of the billions of dollars they make every year, how much is profit? I've heard rumors it's like 30-60% or something. I know, Apple can charge whatever it wants for its products, but IMO, I would like them to possibly cut those margins down a bit. I'm more of a volume kinda guy, not margins. While I feel Apple deserves a nice profit so they can reinvest it in themselves, sometimes the amount of profit they make on some things seems ludicrous. Do they need that money? I find people & businesses are too worried about getting money & improving their bottom line, but why can't they also focus on (or more so if they are) making themselves & the world better.
However, as long as they remain focused on 'here' computers, I'll be ok with that.

As a happy AAPL stockholder, I am not interested in seeing Apple reduce their margins. I am okay in seeing them invest more in R&D, hiring a few more employees (particularly top-notch engineering talent), and adding more resources to their developer program (WWDC is an example).
It's worth pointing out that Apple has made significant strides in the past couple of years in their "green" initiatives and many environmental organizations (including Greenpeace) now consider Apple to be one of the leaders in the technology industry in such behavior. Of course, they need to constantly improve, but to imply that Apple is not making an effort here is clearly myopic.
analyst are always wrong about apple things. dont even pay attention.
... and by 'ok' do you mean okay?
That's some serious crack smokin' going on in that quote.between $325 and $435 by fiscal year 2012
Why would anyone rate this negative?
I have a hard time to see the effect of iPhone and iPod touch to make any difference in APPL stock price. It is hovering about $200 for many years now (before iPhone introduction).
As part of her analysis, Huberty offers three "bull scenarios" that see Apple's stock pricing surging to between $325 and $435 by fiscal year 2012 depending on the balance between subsidies paid to Apple by carriers and global market share. Huberty also offers tamer scenarios in which Apple's iPhone proves to show slower growth, and projecting stock prices in the $180-$250 range.
