Retarded. I pray Apple won't do this but instead they will focus on the next model and adding better hardware (camera, battery, screen, RF transmitter).

Surely you mean iPhone nano. I hate this "iTouch" "iNano" naming mistake. It doesn't exist.

That's your issue, not ours. It's not a mistake, it's just an informal short hand. Most people understand what it means, and that it's not the "real" name of the product.

Yeah but id like pictures bigger than my thumb thanks. I dont carry my camera with me all the time, and sometimes having a mobile camera can be useful, for example at Macworld and other expo's if you see something cool and want a quick snap, carrying a camera around just in case isn't practical.

The problem with the iphone camera has nothing to do with the megapixel count. Obsessing about specs without understanding how they really impact the final product is silly.

I don't buy into this whole "$100" iPhone thing.

Look across the Apple board a 2 gig iPod Shuffle costs $70, while an 8 gig iPod Nano costs $150.

The iPhone is the most mobile technology Apple has to offer, so it will naturally be the most expensive.

Being realistic, a $100 iPhone just doesn't make sense compared to prices of other Apple products.

Something that you miss is that none of those other products are subsidized by the cost of service.

I'm so sick of hearing about this 2 versions of the iPhone crap. Its not going to happen.

Why would apple destroy their biggest plus for developers. 1 device hardware set, all apps work exactly the same.

If you have 2 different versions you kill that and then you have developers making apps for one or the other device.

That's why Apple should only offer one kind of Mac, and in only one screen size and never update it.

The UI design tools offer many ways to allow it to be used on different sized screens.

Your argument makes little sense, unless you're saying that you never want Apple to update their hardware. Already, there are differences between the current and previous generation, GPS isn't on the old one.

Maybe I'm hallucinating but I thought I'd been reading reports of how ATT is trying to exit EDGE service to build out the more profitable 3G. I don't see a cheap EDGE iPhone in the future. I do see a $99 iPhone, but more likely the current 8GB model, not the Gen 1.0 one. EDGE is a dinosaur. We were all disappointed with it on the first iPhone. Why bring it back?

EDGE is becoming non-existent in my area.

I wish Apple would make the $99 phone sans camera. I'd love to have an iPhone, but work won't allow camera phones. So I'm forced to juggle a piece of crap samsung and my touch. Thank Goodness they didn't put a camera in the touch.

When are the coming out with the 7" iphone 3G G5 multi-core tablet -ribbed for your pleasure ; with integrated bluetooth and cupholder? You know I really need something to hold my cups and I'm starting to loose my patience.

Maybe they will remove the home button and extend the screen. So it will be 720x320 resolution with dedicated screen space for navigation but keeping the 480x320 part of the screen for apps and thus keeping compatibility with all apps store products.

Remove the home button? It's essential that's a hardware button for the iPhone to be usable.
