A few reviews have mentioned it briefly but then quickly shrug it off. I get that everyone is different and peoples tolerance is also different for various issues. But, this is pretty cut and dry and very real. But, in this day and age of knob slobbing over big companies, you can't expect some review site to say anything too negative against a big company, Apple or not. Pretty much everything gets a decent or better review if it's from a large company aka advertiser. That's the way it works.

Re: the bolded - that's exactly it. Some people notice it, some don't. I'm no pro reviewer, but were I to write a piece on the Air 2, I, too, would have neglected to mention anything about vibration. Because I never noticed it until I read all the comments here. Maybe my fingers aren't sensitive enough, I don't know, but I had the thing for a week and used it heavily without thinking twice about vibrations.

Now, having read those comments, I think I know what folks are referring to. Still doesn't bother me in the least, and I've certainly never experienced any numbness/tingling - but I get that some people are very bothered by this. My guess is that these people are in the minority, which, perhaps, is why reviews aren't generally mentioning this. The reviewers represent the majority who (like me) don't notice it.

Just a guess.

That said, given the fact that people are talking about it, seems like a current review should at least address the subject.

Very well said. I believe that pretty much any issue becomes more prevalent after people read about it. Same thing for the safari tab reload issues on the Air 1 - many folks never say such behavior until they read about specific sites that cause it or whatever else.

I noticed it(vibration) on the sample at Best Buy I tried and it wasnt the rear of the device vibrating that bothered me it was that the screen itself vibrated while typing or playing a game. That I couldnt take. For the record, I didnt see the screen distortion much though unless I pressed fairly hard on the back so that issue wouldnt have bothered me.

Thats why Im so angry about this vibration problem. It killed my upgrade desires. :(

Anandtech tends to address things that can be tested and measured, things that can be graphed or put in a table. Perhaps they don't have a vibrometer handy for testing that aspect of the Air.
