I used to have it at the bottom, at about 40% size and 50% magnification, limited to my commonly used apps.

However, after reading this thread, I have moved it to the left, set it to about 90% of the size, w/ a slight magnification, and allow it to hide. We will see how it goes!

Smallest setting, on both iBook/External monitor at the bottom, with genie effect, and animation to open.

However it is very organised with sections, ie finder/iLife/dtp/wordprocessing/image/font/other stuff/system prefs, with there being a gap in between each of these groups ;)

Right, over night I've changed it all. It is now on the right, with the maximum size that it will go on the iBook, or about half on the external. I also have it all tied in with the same icons, but still in categories. ;)

Since I started using X-Assist to recreate the OS9 application switcher I mostly have the dock hidden.

:) I love X-Assist. I use it as my application organizer/launcher as well as app switcher. I was an "OtherMenu" user in the MacOS 9 era and X-Assist's "Shortcuts" menu is just like it.

I have no magnification. Does anyone else hate magnification? I tried it for a bit and can't get used to things jumping up at me.
