Switching it up from an ultra to a series 10 my first thought was “oh no what about battery life”. Welp. After an entire day I still have some juice left. And I was out all day, went to the park and went on a long workout tracked walk with my wife. Used the watch alot through out the day. Took a couple calls. Not bad? No worries about battery here.

Slapped it on my charger last night and just watched the numbers go up in real time was kind of amazing. I could take a shower, get ready for work and come back and it’s pretty much done.

I loved my ultra for the first year. Then I really noticed it felt like a brick on my wrist and how sometimes through out the day I would just randomly notice the weight on my wrist like “hmm. Wouldn’t mind it being…less noticable”. My wife was set for the ultra 2 this next upgrade but I thought hey let’s change it up.

Series 10. Faster charging. Sleeker design. Larger screen. And jet black all for half the price of an ultra? Ok. Let’s go.

People might think this upgrade is mid but I’m absolutely loving the hell out of it. Being used to the weight of the ultra, putting on the series 10 it felt like nothing there.

100% agree, the ultra I had for nearly two years looked just too bulky compared to my mechanical watches that I slowly lessened my use of the ultra. Happy to have traded in the ultra for series 10 silver titanium for a more versatile use of the watch!

Seeing the same - charged to only 90% yesterday at 6am, now 24 hours later at 34% with AOD on and using it for sleep tracking (Also using flux with the second hand update every second.)

I also ditched my AWU 2 this summer when I went back to running 100% with a Garmin, and dropped back to using my AW S7 graphite for daily wear. The S10 titanium is a nice improvement over the S7, but it’s too soon for me to get a handle on battery life.

The main downside for me is the lack of a decent digital watch face. But weight, fit and finish is excellent.

Noticed the same! Switched from an Apple Watch Ultra 1 to a Series 10 because it got too bulky for me, and I'm very happy with the battery life. And it's light as a feather.

I did the same, and feel the same. S10, its pretty great battery life for anything I need to do in 24 hours including cellular, working out, etc with its sleeker design, I dont miss the ultra at all. So much easier to dress up the S10 also, one of the main reasons I made the switch.

My S10 came off the charger at 6:30 this morning. I did one 30 minute work out mode. It's now 2:30 PM (8 hours off the charger) and it is at 80%. By the time I take it off tonight before bed it will probably be around 50%. That's more than I could ever ask for in an Apple Watch. Lasts all day, and would be able to handle much more if I needed it to.

My watch series 10 was good for the last 4 days but today it's at 7% at 630pm - less than 12 hours after it was at 100%. The only thing I did different today was make a couple calls for maybe a minute or so. Had I gone for my usual lunch run it would be dead. If this continues, I may end up returning it and trying again sometime later. Yesterday it was still mostly charged in the evening.

Is there a way to see what apps were draining the battery like the iPhone. Can't find that anywhere.

Yeah, I was concern about the same thing. Went from gen 1 ultra to Hermés S10. Man, feels lighter and looks amazing on my wrist. Glad I went for a little change as well.

Has anyone done a long 6+ hour hike with the Series 10 at all? My Ultra S1 battery is dreadful! Charged it to 100% at 8pm last night, one 45 min GPS walk this morning and it's currently on 13%, suspect a reset is needed!

Probably a stuck app or some bug. Try to restart it and see if it's better tomorrow.

I took mine off the charger at 100% and went to bed at 71% yesterday. Charged for 15 minutes before wearing it to sleep. Rinse and repeat. I have no idea what the battery complaints on apple watches are about.

I charge my watch for about 30 minutes a day (15 minutes in the evening and 15 minutes in the morning) and it's pretty much always at 100% after that.

my ultra gen 1 is 2 yrs old and still lasts me 2 days

I’m glad to read these posts, I wavered before getting the S10 vs. other models. Coming from S7 it’s a relief to only have to charge once a day. However I can’t help thinking back 3 years ago, the S7 was like that for the first month or so, maybe several months. Hard to remember now, but here’s hoping this S10 battery will perform better after 6, 12+ months etc.!

Fast charging on the S10 is great compared to other S watches but is irrelevant when compared to the Ultra 2.The S10 charges to 80% in 30 mins. The Ultra 2 charges to 80% in 60 mins. But when you realise the battery on the Ultra 2 lasts twice as long as the S10, 40% in 30 mins on the Ultra 2 is the same as 80% in 30 mins on the S10.

The ultra is also significantly bigger and heavier than the S10. For me I’d take the S10 battery life with the fast charging over an ultra any day of the week

If that's your charging pattern, you may want to consider turning on optimized charge limit so that your battery will swing between 50ish-80, instead of 70ish-100. Should help with long term battery durability.

It is enabled but is a mostly worthless feature unless you are charging overnight. What would be better would be to have an option to limit to 80% max charge.
