After updating to the latest release I seen to be having the following problems.

Lock screen freezes.
Flickering navigation bar.
Cinematic wallpapers not working.

Is anyone else seeing these and I am seriously thinking of going back to the previous build as these are driving me nuts.

Having none of the issues that OP has, but recently I noticed my Pixel 10 does not stop charging at 80%, even though I have it set that way:

I have experienced that with my Pixel 10a after I did a system update. I did a complete reset and erase and have not seen it since. You can make the flickering go away by opening an app and then closing it.

I used the android flash tool to do a complete wipe and so far so good but the cinematic wallpaper setting just turns itself off when I go to use it.

Is that the feature about putting a weather wallpaper or a photo inside a circle?

Full wallpaper, then add motion to it. The toggle goes on but immediately turns back off
Did you check if you have AI features enable? I think that is related to AI. I remember seeing that option in the wallpaper section but I can't test it now since I have gemini disable and other functions too

Well I am just happy it's not just me then.
I wish updates didn't break things.

Thanks for the help everyone.

My Android Auto stopped working. It is basically sporadic now in terms of if it wants to connect or not. I tried resetting the infotainment system but I don't think that fixed the issue.

Still not working after the April update.
I just updated to April update and nop, the feature is still broken.

The problem is that I just have been disable things here and there so, it is a little hard to me to know if the feature is working fine or it is just my device 🥲. But, it is probably still broken

If you want to de Google then why not go down the GrapheneOS route. I have it on my daily driver.
Yeah, I was thinking about it but I'm not sure if I need to reach that level of degoogle and if it works for me.

Probably I will try it in the future

Can you possibly say what settings you have disabled as well.
Sure. I hope I'm not missing something:
  1. Only LTE (since we don't have 5G yet here in Costa Rica)
  2. Default Print Services off
  3. Digital Wellbeing is disable
  4. In Google services and preferences/All Services
    1. Cast options off
    2. Cross device services off
    3. Usage & diagnostics off
    4. Phone number sharing off
    5. No google wallet (this is hard. It is really convenient to pay with the phone)
    6. Advance protection off
    7. Find hub off
    8. Sensitive content warning off
    9. Theft protection off
    10. Unknown tracker alerts off
I think those are all the setting turned off. Be aware that I'm not from the U.S. so, many of these Google services/apps don't work the same as in the US and thats why I just disabled them.

I would like to test GrapheneOS but probably there will be a lot of apps that won't work without google play services. Bank apps specially so, I'm still thinking if it worth the installation

Thanks for that.
Yes bank apps are a problem with Grapheneos, some work but the ones I use don't so i have to use a browser for that service.

All the apps that I would normally get from the play store I get from aurora store but paid apps are a problem as they are just a no go unfortunately.

You can put play services on in a sand box without a Google account so that will make most apps work that rely on it.

Yeah, I read about the sandbox. That is what I would use. I'm using Aurora store right now and I just don't use any paid apps for now so I'm good.

Did you test making a "work" profile with Shelter? Can it be possible to have the play services there with the playstore?

You can set up a complete separate profile with all of the Google services on it for when you want to use them.
When you go back to your owner profile those services are not allowed to run at all.

There are some good YouTube videos explaining this but if you do not want to use the YouTube app then there are a few other ones. I use one called Newpipe which you can find on F-droid. It works well.
One channel I follow is "side of burritos", he has some good videos explaining it all and well worth watching.

That sounds perfect. I think I will give it a try soon.

Keeping a profile with google services will help to keep my sanity
