I figured I'd ask here since this you guys area of expertise. Dealing with a stalking situation being tracked with Google account.

My darling friend has recently gone through a breakup from a crazy Ex(Full on Pscyho really) but details are irrelevant. Anyway, we have been noticing thathe somehow ALWAYS randomly appears where she is. At first, it was sort of explained away by he just shows up to places he knows she and her friends frequent . Until it became SPECIFIC places she has never been known to go. Case in point last night, she drove spontaneously an hour to come visit me at the bar i JUST started at (as in literally yesterday was my first shift). Guess who shows up about 2 hour or so later. The ex. Anyway we were trying to figure out how he somehow always manages to show up where she is and we discovered she has been using it and we realizes he has been tracking her through Find my phone(he had access to her email/password)

She has since created a new google account and is using my iPhone 8 for the time being but if she decides to use her Galaxy S22 again, can she just remove the account he has access to and replace it with her new one without notifying him that she is aware he has access to the account in the first place?

I know on IOS it tells you when you remove a device from an account but she doesnt want to potentially escalate a situation BEFORE we have a chance to file a police report today for harassment

Also with this new google account if she adds it to the S22, will she be able to continue doing her backups of her content on the phone? Without losing data?

I use to joke that I wanted her to get off Android because IOS is better BUT this is not the way I meant and it is scary to think someone you trusted at one time has THAT MUCH access to you after the fact.

You can have multiple google accounts on the S22, I do this occasionally when I hit app not available in your country, but each account has backup/sync settings

I would of guessed with an S22 she can back up to Microsoft one-drive and not google for photo's

He may already be tipped of if the S22 is switched off or not following some routine or travel as I expect this type of compulsion he can't resisting tracking periodically.

You can download an app to spoof GPS locations or maybe you even carry her S22 or another friend

Best of luck to her

So it’s not like apple? I know I have two apple accounts and I have to first remove the phone from find my/the hour delay for the lock and THEN I can sign out. This is going to sound ironic for this post but as much as I love apple I swear sometime their security is too strong lol. Like I just want to switch accounts for a second lol. This happens usually when I download an app on one and I have to update it when I’m on the other

And do you know any gps apps off the top of your head?

I think I used an app called fake GPS Location (its in my not installed list as I removed it)

Its not very nice and a bit intrusive with lots of adds and crap if I recall correctly, but for one off use it was ok

It may not have state selection only country but Canada or Mexico should be possible :)

You would need to test the share/find my location with her S22 to your S24 as maybe Samsung app may not be fooled by this

I just tried it with a lottery app that required to be in country and VPN was not enough to fool it :)

Yes Apple can be a pain at times. A very well known marine chart company only allowed US based Iphones to download maps for middle east yet the actual map cartridges were available for my boat locally, so I had to have a spoof US Apple account to download to my Iphone as back-up.

You can find my phone with the Samsung side of things.

Might pay to change credentials within the Samsung account.

Change password and sign out of all google and samsung accounts and remove him from any family accounts. Also set up 2FA auth and check all apps for any location sharing ones outside of the inbuilt ones
