I am looking for an app or help to set my device up to some certain specifications.

Verizon Galaxy SIII on 4.3
Jabra or other brand WIRED headset (single earpiece)

As a bike commuter, I sometimes need to take calls that are extremely important. These are not business calls per say, just from important people that I need to communicate with. I am looking for an app or a way to set up my phone where the caller ID will announce ONLY when the headset is in place. The phone is not accessible while I am riding, and I would like to know who may be calling in case I need to take it. I would like to avoid a Bluetooth headset as I already have too many things to keep track of charging (phone, bike lights, etc) and love the simplicity of a wired headset.

Anyone have any ideas?

Well, it appears that I was searching the Play store with the wrong terms. I came across Headphone SMS. Says that it reads SMS and caller ID, and works with third party SMS apps (I use Go SMS). Well, it doesn't work with Go apparently, and I am OK with that. I didn't want it to read SMS, just the caller ID. Two test calls later, and it works.

Wired headphones plugged in: Phone rings, then the caller name gets announced over the headset.

Wired headphones unplugged: Phone rings, nothing is announced

I am always open for other options or apps if anyone has any suggestions.
