I clicked launchpad in Yosemite and I see something called Android File Transfer. I don't remember ever installing this. Is it automatically installed with OS X?

I'm on a macbook pro that's only about 4-5 months old. I just checked my old macbook (late 2008, also Yosemite) and Android File Transfer is on that too. I have no android devices and can't think of when or why I would have ever installed this.

I've tried looking it up and it seems like an innocent app, which makes me relieved, but every site talks about it as something you have to actually download yourself, which makes me worried.

It's an innocuous application, but does not come with OS X. Among other things, it's installed with Wacom drivers.
